Short Session: Advising the Second Language Requirement

It is well known that students may satisfy UR's second language proficiency requirement in a number of ways. Some students come to Richmond already fluent in another language, or with years of previous study. A high score on a standardized exam (including AP, IB, and SAT II) or placement exam may also fulfill the requirement or, better yet, place students in upper-level language courses allowing them to continue their language study.

Please join co-hosts Julie Baker, Michael Marsh-Soloway, and Ted Peebles for an in-depth discussion of best practices for advising students who need to complete the second language requirement. This event has passed; please email the AARC for a recording of the session.
