Education Major/Minor Options-Careers in Teaching
 
The Education Department is pleased to announce additional offerings for UR students who seek to become licensed classroom teachers. Students seeking to become licensed elementary teachers through the study of educational theory and instructional practices can now pursue a major in Elementary Education beginning in the Fall of 2020.  Additionally, students with interests in the secondary or comprehensive content areas of English, Foreign Language, History/Social Studies, Math, Science, or Art (Dance Arts, Theatre Arts or Visual Arts) can continue to minor in Education and seek teacher certification. More information may be found at https://education.richmond.edu/teacher-education/index.html.
