Guest Speaker: "The Hidden Curriculum of Higher Education": How Academic Advisors Can Help Students Navigate Unspoken Expectations and Unwritten Rules

Join us for an open and honest conversation with Dr. Marcia Chatelain, Associate Professor of History and African American studies at Georgetown University, as we answer questions such as: What is “The Hidden Curriculum”, How does it impact our students, and What can advisors can do to help them navigate this hidden culture? Dr. Chatelain will share insights from a Georgetown University course created titled , “Mastering the Hidden Curriculum”, as well as help advisors walk away with strategies they can use to help their students THRIVE as they navigate the Hidden Curriculum.

The lunch will begin at noon on Thursday, February 13, in Tyler Haynes Commons Room 305. This event has reached attendance capacity and reservations are closed.
